About April Neufeld

April Neufeld

April grew up on the West Coast, spending significant time in Northern California and around the Pacific Northwest, before she settled in Portland, Oregon.  After practicing massage therapy for 6 years, she went back to school at Pacific University to pursue her interest in sports medicine: the research, reporting, writing, and blogs (really anything to do with massage therapy and athletes).  She now holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science – Motor Behavior Learning.

When not glued to a research journal, she can be found running the trails of Forest Park with her dog, cycling to work, or training for a sprint triathlon. As a healthcare provider and massage therapy researcher, April recognizes the importance of evidence-based treatments and blending the science to fit your individual needs.
